A badly prepared file means a proof that comes back, a deadline that slips or a disappointing print run. Our prepress team checks your file, tells you exactly what needs to change, and corrects it for you if you wish.

What we check
- Size and bleed: the trimmed size, 3 mm bleed, crop marks.
- Safety margins: no text or logo too close to the edge or the fold.
- Colours: CMYK, spot colours, text black, ink coverage of solid areas.
- Images: resolution at print size, colour profiles, transparencies.
- Fonts: embedded or outlined, so nothing is substituted at print time.
- Pages: count, order, reading direction, compatibility with binding or folding.
- Ordered product: spine, flaps, die-cut, foil or varnish areas in the right place.
A first automatic and free check of your PDF is also available online at multi-pages.com. The Oficio Studio check goes further: it is done by a person, who explains every point to you.

The exact price is confirmed after the check, before any work. We correct your file without changing its layout: if something needs rethinking (text too close to the edge, image too small), we tell you and you decide.

Frequently asked questions
Is the check really free if I order the printing?
Yes. As soon as the printing of the file is ordered on one of our platforms, the check is included in the order. Only the correction, if it is needed and if you choose it, is charged, at the price confirmed before any work.
Which files do you accept?
Ideally a high-resolution PDF. We also accept Illustrator files, packaged InDesign files (with fonts and images) and high-resolution images.
Do you proofread the text?
No: the check covers print technique (size, colours, images, fonts, pages). Content and spelling remain your responsibility; the proof lets you read everything before printing.
What happens to my files?
They are used only for your order. We keep them for as long as the order and any reprints require, and never pass them on to other customers.
